Blendworth Tennyson Collection

A collection of 18 tri-colour weaves named after Lord Alfred Tennyson, who was the longest serving Poet Laureate of Great Britain and Ireland. Verse one of Tennyson’s poem ‘The Mermaid’ written in 1830 sets the scene for this shell and ocean inspired selection of weaves. Subtle and unusual tones range from the blush pinks of conches, the deep blues of the Atlantic and the opulent hues of the abalone shell. Inspired by the texture of pearls, seahorses and scallop shells, the luxury animals prints of the sea; translated into the softest melange of linen and cotton as four shades twist together within a blended warp giving depth and dimension with a hint of couture. Evoking the feel of luxurious woven jackets, perfect for drapery and upholstery.
